An 80’s moment at NYFW

If you read my blog from the beginning and saw my blogging evolution , you surely noticed that I like to experiment almost with fashion styles . I think in life you have to experiment and don’t limit yourself to certain things. Often, I mix contemporary trending pieces, with older items in my wardrobe. But when I say old, I do not mean "outdated" because I invest in timeless pieces that can be worn several seasons. In the other post when I told you about the new Furla store in Baneasa Shopping City, I said  I picked two bags from their shelves. Well, the second choice is a very stylish and popular bucket bag. From my point of view, it is likely...

10 rules to survive the Fashion Week

Fashion weeks are over and you’ve saw some bloggers day by day, running from a show to another in all four fashion capitals. If you think this is easy, you are wrong. Just who has been there can understand what is really going on. It is true that in the first season adrenaline is high. Everything new, you learn how things work and feel so much feet pain, hunger or fatigue. In time, however, when certain things become routine (not talking about the collections, you always wait them anxiously) you start to become conscious of the more basic needs of the body. Each blogger has little tricks to survive this period. Personally I do not know if I could last more than 2...

Romanian designers at NYFW

Because I believe in the work of Romanian designers, at every Fashion Week I try to combine made in RO pieces in my outfits, we do have reasons to be proud. It’s true that the big brands are more popular with street style photographers, but I believe that a mix made only with a very known brands aren’t that original. I always thought and still have the same opinion, that you combine pieces from young designers with mass market brands and add a touch of luxury brands, you put your creativity to work. A catwalk outfit looks spectacular indeed, but it isn’t your creation but the designer’s. I promised in the last post that I'll tell you about the presence of Romanian...

Una Notte a Milano

Pink Martini sings about Una Notte a Napoli. If had a musical talent, I would have written a song about Una Notte a Milano. This fashion capital dressed in the night's darkness seems so special. The colorful light of the bars, restaurants and boutiques give you the impression of jewels made by old Italian artisans. To wander Milans' streets is a true pleasure, especially during fashion week. It is full of people, the style that unites everyone bringing so much joy. Though, the areas with the most open all night places are: Porta Garibaldi, Porta Ticinese, Porta Sempione, Porta Romana and the 2 nocturnal neighborhoods, Navigli & Brera. For a nocturnal panoramic view, I recommend you do the city tour which costs...

70’s- Inspired @Milan Fashion Week

The 70s vibe came back stronger. Yes, we're speaking of flare pants, embroideries, fringes and suede. It should be noted that the designers have focused more on the rock and boho style, to the detriment of disco. We can draw inspiration from the outfits of iconic characters: Ali MacGraw, Jane Birkin, Bianca Jagger, Michelle Pfeifer, Peggy Lipton and Jacqueline Bisset. For Milan Fashion Week I choose an outfit that marks a certain sobriety. However I didn't forget to add some funny elements. The Paisi accessorized fur vest in strong colors and the H&M men's shirt sweeten my look. Obviously, wooden platform shoes and flared pants from Zara are mandatory elements for an authentic look. I will return to the 70s style with...

Deux-Pieces @Milan Fashion Week

The deux-pieces is the best choice when you want more style and elegance. Qualities that I had in mind when I went to Milan Fashion Week. The truth is, that this duo - skirt or pants with a blazer, will never go out of style. This isn't the first time that I choose this type of outfit for fashion week. If you don't remember, two year ago, in Paris I wore a burgundy suit. You can see the outfit here. This year, I wore a Marie Ollie deux-pieces, designed by Arthur Dinu. I fancy it because it reminds me of the 17th century, more accurately, the victorian period. Even though it is vintage inspired, the look is stylish and contemporary. I love...

Rose Quartz and Serenity @Milan Fashion Week

Pantone Institute decided that rose quartz (pink) and Serenity (baby blue) are the colors of 2016. It is the first year that Pantone decided that the color of the year is represented by two shades instead of one. An association that I find very interesting. Keeping this trend in mind, for Milan, I prepared an outfit in this color combo. I chose a retro rose quartz coat from Spoff. The baby blue shade went in the accessories. Let me tell you that small bags are considered very stylish this season. A true challenge, no? My Musette bag, besides my lipstick, credit card and phone, didn't fit anything else. What would put in a bag if you were to choose only 3...

All white @Milan Fashion Week

We know that all black outfits flatters all types of bodies and we also know that the little black dress is our friend when we don't know what to wear. If we still are in this area of monochrome outfits, what if you go the opposite pole? What do you think about all white outfits? I have to confess that I always admired this trend. Although I wanted to try this style exercise, I had to overcome some mental thresholds. First, If we choose to pieces that match our figure, we see that white does not add weight. At all! Secondly, do not be tempted to think all white is the perfect outfit for summer. White outfits look perfect in...

#LFW Day 3

Denim Mania !!! Denim has always been a trend, but in the last two seasons I've seen a real explosion in designer collections and in street style outfits. I can not say that I dislike it, because I am of fan denim. It is comfortable, stylish and easy to accessorize. For the third day of London Fashion Week, I combined these Zara indigo jeans with a spectacular Venera Arapu dress. A mix of textures, leather, cotton, with back transparencies and a fun print, which is very significant for collection slogan "If the music is too loud, you are too old". As accessories I chose nude platform shoes from Gucci, which make me a little taller, yuppi, an envelope with an interesting design...
